BLOG interviews BLOG?

Well, we just arrived in Blacksburg and things are already off to an unusual start. Got a text from Kyle Tucker and we discussed some Hokie football....

We've hit the big time now. ESPN? Nope. Washington Post? Nope. Kyle Tucker? Now your cookin'. So we won't steal Kyle's story, but Kyle seems to be a pretty cool guy.

Thank you to all the thousands of emails, blog posts, techsideline.com posts, etc. that we've received in support of OUR (Hokie Nation's) position. Let us say, first and foremost we know that many of you have been screaming about this for years and we are glad that at least someone could be heard. By the way, for all of you out there who don't agree, that is fine too. You are welcome to your opinion. So you know, we all only want the best for this Virginia Tech Hokies football program!

GO HOKIES!!

Jason,

I am so disappointed in VT football right now, I stopped listening to Hokie Hotline so I missed your live call. When I did hear it my thought was the same as thousands of others - the caller said what we all are thinking! College football is a big business. Businesses produce products. The current VT product is sub-par. VT is a big time program with big time expenses so I hope they have the godd senses to replace the OC with a proven entity. Thanks for pushing Beamer's button. He needs to get excited. Maybe the team will get energized. But the offense is what it is and I look for more boring football until Beamer pulls the plug. If Beamer won't pull the plug on Stinespring, then maybe Weaver needs to pull the plug on Beamer. Hokie football will be here long after we are all gone. That should be the focus!

Jason's comments were not out-of-line. You should be able to ask such questions at a call in show. Jason stated facts, not skewed statistics. The Hokies have reached the ceiling with the current coaching staff (not players). Are we happy with that? Obviously not!

Jason, please don't stop. You are bringing much needed attention to a problem that has existed since Stinespring became offensive coordinator. I think that the heat is turning up and if you and the rest of the Hokie nation "turns up the wick" it'll be to hot to ignore. Thanks for your time, effort and backbone!

Go Hokies!

Jason,

Thank you for being a voice for so many of us that have been EXTREMELY frustrated with this offense for many years now. It's amazing the amount of attention you have brought to a problem that has just continued to get worse over time. Keep it up and GO HOKIES!!

Jason,
Thanks for keeping this going. Through an article in the Richmond Times Dispatch I found someone who could be a better OC than Stiney......Tyrod Taylor! read what this article said.

From RTD-On his touchdown before halftime -- a drive that started at the Jackets' 43-yard line thanks to a fumble -- the play called for him to scan the end zone and try to find one of two tight ends. The coaches told Taylor to throw the ball away if neither was open. When Taylor saw a hole open on the line immediately after the snap, he chose to ignore those orders.

"I knew that if I didn't see the read quick enough, I could get 1 yard," he said. "We were too close to the goal line for me to throw it away."

This is probably why Glennon was not doing as well. He was listening to the OC and not questioning his crap calls. A quarterback runs the offense on the field and he should be able to read defenses and improvise. Hopefully Tyrod will get even better at this and hopefully the coaches will let him do it.

So we lucked out and walked away with a victory this weekend, can "Jason from Arlington" get through on the hotline tonight and ask Stiney if he has anything more than a QB draw up his sleeve for UNC this weekend?

Thanks Jason for, to quote Kyle Tucker, starting the fire! The more of a groundswell we can get the better our chances of an improved offense becomes.

Go Hokies!

This is great!! Keep up the blog Jason, you know I am 100% behind you. Beamer should be respected for being a loyal person to his program. I think he needs to re-evaluate who he is loyal to though. Virginia Tech Football fans are so loyal to the program, travel in record numbers, and invest back in the university. Beamer needs to understand his loyalty is to the Hokie Nation first and foremost, not to Bryan Stinespring. Keep up the good work!

Hey Jason,

You really must have struck a nerve, because there seems to be someone (at VT) calling all the Jasons in Arlington (just spoke with that someone)! Hopefully you have had a chance to talk with them about your concerns, and hopefully it was well received. At first I had no idea what that individual was referring to (being a different Jason), but after researching this topic online, I can understand how some people are committed to preserving the status quo. In any case, criticism enables improvement, so long as the criticism is factual and civilized.
Thanks for asking the tough questions, and demanding the tough answers.

Everything you said was dead on. Your responses to Kyle's interviews were EXACTLY what I was thinking.
